5 Ways to Boost Your Mood

5 Ways to Boost Your Mood

Can I just be honest for a moment?
I am naturally a very negative person, but as I started this journey of self-love and healing, I realized I wanted to take charge of my life and shift my mindset. I dove into the world of personal development in 2014 and never looked back. I had no idea there were tools out there to help me process emotions, shift my thinking, and boost my mood on days where I felt like I was in a funk.

Here are some of the practices I use to this day to help me boost my mood. The most empowering feeling in the world is when you can take control of your feelings and no longer allow them to control you. This is your ONE WILD LIFE, and you get to choose how to live it.

Gratitude

Without a doubt I believe that gratitude can completely shift your life, and it is why it is part of my 5 step framework for my Arise & Radiate coaching program where I coach women on how they can start their day with intention. If you find yourself in a funk, you simply take a deep breath, and find three things you are grateful for. It could be the plants on your table, the computer you are working on, or whatever comes to mind. This can quickly shift your mindset and boost your mood, and you immediately start to see the world in a different way.

Movement

There are plenty of studies out there that share how important movement and exercise is for the body. Even a quick 10 minute walk can trigger the body's relaxation response and helps to reduce stress. Any sort of movement or exercise is an effective way to get yourself out of a funk and boost your mood. I always remind my clients to find ways to move their body that bring them the most joy.

Sunshine

Did you know that light deprivation is one reason why many of us feel tired and meh 😒 ?

Just 5 minutes of daylight can stimulate the production of serotonin and dopamine, the brain chemicals connected to mood. Sunshine is a natural way to boost your mood and energy, and help you to feel good the rest of the day. Nature is so rad.

Journaling

This is a great way to write out what you are feeling and what could be causing frustration inside your body. Sitting down for even five minutes with the journal prompt of, " how are you feeling?" can get things flowing out of you and onto the paper. This is a great way to see the bigger picture of what could be causing you stress, and boost your mood by getting it out of your mind where it can cause a lot of problems.

Happy Juice

I'll never say that ONE thing is a fix all, but this juice has changed so much for me, and I love sharing things that are helping so many in this wild journey we call LIFE. It is a three supplement drink that will not only boost your mood and energy, but it helps to heal the gut, which is connected to our mental health and wellness. This juice is backed by clinical studies, clean ingredients and giving people real results. What if it's not in your brain, but in your gut? Want to learn more? Read more about happy juice here!

Cheers to living your life out loud.
